Why make cushions to order
Off the shelf cushions come in a small number of standard sizes, which rarely matches an unusual sofa, window seat or armchair exactly. Making cushions to order means we can match the size and shape to your furniture, and the fabric to your existing curtains, covers or upholstery rather than the other way round. Piping, contrast trims and different fillings are all available, so a cushion can be as simple or as detailed as you want. We can work from a fabric you already own or help you choose something new from our range.
Cushions as part of a bigger project
Cushions are often the easiest way to tie a room together once curtains, covers or upholstery are in place, picking out a colour from elsewhere in the room or adding a contrast to break up a plain scheme. Because we make curtains, covers and upholstery fabric in the same Lewes workshop, cushions ordered alongside another project can be matched exactly rather than approximated from a swatch. If you already have fabric left over from another job, we are usually able to use it to make matching cushions at no extra material cost.
